About the role
Overview: The Financial Shared Services group executes transactional processes for the Corporation’s pulp and paper mill sector, in the areas of sales accounting, accounts receivable and accounts payable.
Reporting to the Supervisor, Cash Application, you will be responsible for the cash application of payments received from customers as well as customer account reconciliations in the receivable systems (customer collections is NOT a requirement of this role).
**Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities: **
- Be responsible for the daily application of payments received from customers into our accounts receivable system;
- Reconcile payments as indicated on the clients’ remittance documents;
- Process cash transfers between A/R systems to reflect payments against original orders;
- Act as back-up for other Cash Application Agents when necessary;
- Document and keep procedures updated.

**Professional Experience/Qualifications: **

College degree/DEP in accounting;

Minimum of two (2) years in accounts receivable (cash application) experience;

Experience in a large organization (an asset);

Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite products and intermediate experience with Excel;

Knowledge of SAP is an asset;
-
Strong communication skills in English* (written and spoken) and functional ability in French.
*This is required since as part of this function, you will have to intervene with customers, partners and/or our American subsidiaries on a recurring basis, both orally and in writing.
