What You’ll Do
As a Civil Engineering Technologist or Technician, you’ll contribute to the successful delivery of municipal infrastructure projects. Your key responsibilities include:
- Designing functional, preliminary, and detailed plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D for roads, drainage systems, bridges, and culverts.
- Producing engineering drawings including plan, profile, and section views
- Preparing cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and tender documentation
- Conducting fieldwork such as surveying, layout, inspection, and construction reviews
- Operating Total Stations and GPS systems, ensuring accurate data collection and file management
- Supporting contract administration through site visits, deficiency reviews, and technical reporting
- Maintaining organized project documentation and collaborating with team members to meet project goals
What You Bring
- A diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or Technician program and eligibility for CET designation.
- Proficiency in design software, particularly AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Strong oral and written communication abilities.
- The ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects effectively.
- A valid Ontario driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
- Experience in a consulting environment (considered an asset).
- A genuine interest in contributing to rural community development
