EIPS is recruiting six (6) temporary full-time (1.0 FTE) Literacy and Numeracy Intervention Teachers with our Support for Students department. Position details are below. Please indicate your positional preference in your cover letter to show your interest in one or more of the positions Supports for Students is located at the Trillium Centre, 121 Crimson Drive, Sherwood Park. Central administration is comprised of eight departments, in addition to the Board of Trustees. The departments include Education Executive, Communication Services, Facility Services, Student Transportation, Human Resources, Financial Services, Supports for Students, and Information Technologies. Supports for Students provides services for the division in a variety of areas, including curriculum, assessment, pedagogy, and educational technology.

Position Details
- Grade 4 and 7 Literacy and Numeracy Teacher - Home school is Mundare and will also be supporting Lamont and Vegreville.
SFS is looking for a 1.0 FTE teacher to work with at-risk students in multiple EIPS schools in Mundare, Lamont, and Vegreville. The teacher will work directly with students, providing pull-out literacy and numeracy intervention support for students in grades 4 and 7. The teacher will work with consultants in co-planning as well as the development and delivery of lessons. This position will require travel; mileage will be compensated.
- Grade 4 and 7 Literacy Teacher - Home school is in Fort Saskatchewan and will be supporting Fort Saskatchewan, Bruderheim, and possibly Ardrossan schools.

Qualifications
- Bachelor of Education degree
- Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
- Experience and knowledge of literacy best practices in Division 1
- Participation in Early Literacy Initiative Level 1 and Level 2 is an asset
- Effective organization and time management skills
- Knowledge of strong instructional strategies and differentiation
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Experience or familiarity with analyzing data and using data to inform decisions and/or instruction
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
- Growth mindset and ability to use feedback to improve practice
- Relentless drive to set and achieve personal and professional goals
- Experience or familiarity with SharePoint and various technologies, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Teams
- An understanding of the Alberta Provincial Resource Review Guide
- Knowledge and understanding of the use of artificial intelligence platforms
- A commitment to Teaching Quality Standard 5 – Applying Foundational Knowledge about First Nations, Métis and Inuit
