RothLochston is currently recruiting an Accounts Payable Specialist to join the team at our corporate head office in Paradise, NL. This is a permanent role and an opportunity to become part of a central accounting team supporting multiple business units within the organization.

As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for the following:
- Lead the Accounts Payable function.
- Review purchase orders and match shipping documentation.
- Verify quantities and quoted prices on vendor invoices.
- Post all vendor invoices for the group of companies.
- Track and post credit card transactions.
- Monitor discount opportunities.
- Assist in reconciling statements.
- Copy vendor invoices, record keeping, and report generation.
- Address supplier queries in a proactive, professional, and timely manner.
- Maintain up to date supplier info in accounting software system.
- Maintain a filing system of all payable documentation.
- Pay vendors on a timely basis, in accordance with the terms and conditions of the invoice.
- Coordinate with operations to facilitate timely processing of invoices.
- Prepare open commitment reports and analyze overhead expenses for coding accuracy.
We are seeking candidates with 3-5 years experience in the accounts payable function, combined with a two-year Business Administration Diploma with a focus in accounting. Experience and interest in the industrial construction sector will be beneficial for success in this role. You are an excellent communicator and can easily build rapport with your colleagues and vendors. A self-starter who takes initiative to problem solve and perceive the needs of others. Your ability to be flexible and handle multiple priorities will fit well into this fast paced and dynamic role.
