Specialist, International Recruitment (Digital)
About the role
This position is responsible for the realization of recruitment goals set by TRU’s strategic plan by managing and developing innovative international digital recruitment and business development activities that result in quality, diversity, and volume. The intended impact is to optimize:

Analysis and management of business development opportunities
This position will be responsible for specific market portfolios, developing and implementing market-specific digital strategies. The incumbent will need to monitor international recruitment environments and be ready to swiftly change and implement new strategies.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and execute digital strategies for international recruitment and international business development, including: research, analysis, development and implementation.

Manage the overall portfolio of digital assets for international recruitment and business development needs.

Monitor trends and analyze data from digital marketing channels to guide future digital recruitment strategy development and optimize digital recruitment activities
-
Meet performance and result-driven (digital) recruitment goals, as directed by the Director, International Marketing and Recruitment.

Identify and recommend leading technologies to support lead generation, conversions, digital recruitment activities and events
-
Oversee implementation and development of CRM and other marketing technologies for international departments
-
Communicate, engage and collaborate with external third parties (digital) at governmental level; including, Trade Commissioners, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, BCCIE, CBIE, and other Universities.

Manage teams of overseas representatives and international agents to ensure TRU is represented accurately and professionally, and TRU brand standard met.

Represent TRU and TRU World to international and government officials in person and virtually with high quality presentations.

Responsible for making decisions and commitments on behalf of TRU ie. With other business and institutional partners.

Develop and oversee virtual events; recruitment activities and familiarization tours.

Responsible for development and analysis of innovative and effective digital communication campaigns to support international recruitment.

Supervise and evaluate the work of the Officer, Business Analysis.

Hire, train, manage and evaluate overseas representative within specific market portfolios
-
Engage with University stakeholders and external partners to improve international recruitment, achieve enrolment targets and support international business development through the effective use of digital technology, and better utilization of existing digital assets and tools.

Manage and monitor budgets related to digital marketing and recruitment plans, including campaigns, events and other activities

QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, communications or related discipline
- Experience in student recruitment, marketing, digital marketing, or communications; preferably in the post-secondary or international education sector
- A demonstrated understanding of secondary and post-secondary educational systems
- Experience with international education and student recruitment, with excellent intercultural communication, marketing, and technology skills.
- Well-developed skills in interpersonal and cross-cultural communication
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to work as an integral member of a highly functioning team to deliver high quality results
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated experience in delivering presentations to large and small groups
- SEM, SEO, email marketing, social media marketing, lead generation and conversion
- Proven experience in conversion metrics
- Strong computer skills/knowledge (Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Suite)
- Working knowledge of content management systems and customer relationship management systems
- Capacity to travel internationally
- Experience in study and/or working abroad is critical
- Second language is considered an asset
