About the role

Greenhills Operations produces upwards of 5.5Mt per year of high quality steelmaking coal through the processing plant. This is a unique opportunity to join directly into a full-time role in the Greenhills Processing Plant. Reporting to the Plant Supervisor, the Process Operator is responsible for performing a variety of duties including physical labour, equipment operation, process troubleshooting/optimization, mechanical inspections and minor repair work.

The position is site-based at our operations in the Elk Valley, and the ability to reliably commute to or relocate near Sparwood, B.C is necessary.

In this role you will

Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies

Operate fixed plant processing circuits, including coarse and fine coal recovery circuits, mechanical and evaporative dewatering operations, and clean coal loadout operations Run heavy equipment including haul truck, dozer, and loader Perform equipment maintenance Work outdoors in all weather conditions Additional tasks include shoveling, hosing, and lifting various objects

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent

Valid class 5 driver’s license Strong interpersonal skills Ability to work independently or as part of a team Previous mining experience is an asset, particularly in a processing operations scope Formal process operations certification, heavy equipment operations or industrial experience is considered an asset

Hourly Wage: Starting at $43.83 per hour, with increases to $51.36 with progressive circuit experience

Base earnings reflected in salary range includes the hourly wage plus applicable shift premiums and will differ depending on location. It is calculated using a reasonably expected number of hours worked per year.
