Job Description:
TD Securities provides a wide range of capital market products and services to corporate, government, and institutional clients who choose us for our knowledge, innovation, and experience in the following key areas of finance: Investment and Corporate Banking, Capital Markets, Interest Rate, Currency and Derivative Products. TD Securities works with clients around the world, and our services include the underwriting and distribution of new debt and equity issues, providing advice on strategic acquisitions and divestitures, and executing daily trading and investment needs.
The Global Equity Derivatives (GED) Division of TD Securities Inc. is one of Canada’s leading Equity Derivatives operations. GED provides clients with sales, trading, and research support in a variety of financial products including ETFs, swaps, options, and structured notes with operations in Toronto, Montreal, New York, London, and Singapore. Within GED, the ETF desk is an expanding business at TD Securities, catering to institutional and wealth clients, as well as ETF issuers.
As part of the ETF trading desk, the successful candidate will be responsible for expanding and enhancing TD's ETF market making capabilities. The role will involve the following:
- Working in a team environment to deliver excellence in ETF market making.
- Identify and effectively execute trading opportunities.
- Delivering excellence to ETF providers as partners.
- Developing critical relationships with clients and providing flawless trade execution.
- Assisting and leading in technical troubleshooting.
- Participating in the creation, implementation and maintenance of processes across the ETF trading platform.
- Continued analysis of current market dynamics in the ETF market.
- Initiate and manage various initiatives to grow the ETF platform.
- Collaborate effectively with ETF Sales and Strategy colleagues.
- Work closely with other desks within GED and TD Securities to grow the franchise.
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in capital markets, preferably in an institutional role and/or in ETFs.
- Financial and technical acumen
- Python, Excel, SQL, VBA, C++ expertise
- Strong oral and written communication, particularly when engaged in dialogue of a technical nature with counterparties of varying levels of knowledge
- Familiarity with ETFs and derivatives is strongly preferred
- Fast learner and proactive
- Undergraduate Degree in relevant fields
