Position Overview: As a Media Planner, you’ll play a hands-on role in developing and managing media plans across digital, traditional, and emerging platforms. You’ll analyze data, build recommendations, and help ensure campaigns are strategically sound and flawlessly executed. This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in media planning who is ready to take ownership of projects, present to clients, and contribute to innovative strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather and analyze marketing, client, industry, competitive, and audience data to inform media recommendations.
- Translate marketing objectives and insights into media strategies that align with client goals.
- Evaluate media channels and tactics to determine the best budget allocation.
- Maintain campaigns, ensuring quality control, adherence to plan objectives, and preparation of campaign reporting.
- Utilize syndicated research tools (e.g., Vividata, Comscore) and data resources to support planning decisions.
- Clearly communicate media objectives, strategies, and guidelines to internal teams and partners.
- Present media plans and recommendations to internal stakeholders and clients (with guidance from Supervisor/Manager as needed).
- Maintain strong relationships with media suppliers and stay up to date on market trends and opportunities.
- Collaborate with external partners and participate actively in status meetings, both internal and client-facing.
- Assist in developing POVs on new opportunities, platforms, and media trends.
- Participate in billing and financial process, ensuring budgets are tracked accurately and client billing is completed on time.
Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of experience in media planning or buying.
- Understanding of marketing and media strategy.
- Strong analytical skills and comfort working with data to drive decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and/or Google Workspace tools.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A collaborative team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Familiarity with digital buying platforms (Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, DSPs).
- Experience working with creator or influencer programs.
