Make an impact as a strategic, community-focused Manager, Strategic Partnerships and Economic Development with our Indigenous Services team. This diverse team of professionals are dedicated to exceeding clients’ unique needs within a rapidly evolving business and financial reporting landscape. MNP is a leading national accounting, tax and business consulting firm for Indigenous Nations, businesses, and entrepreneurs in Canada. With more than 270 Indigenous clients and 500 team members dedicated to this sector, no other firm has invested as much time and resources into serving the unique needs of Indigenous communities. As a trusted advisor, you’ll provide expertise to empower Indigenous communities, organizations, businesses and individuals in navigating a dynamic social, political and economic environment.
You’ll work closely with community partners to co-create solutions that reflect Indigenous values, priorities, and long-term goals. This is a dynamic opportunity to apply your financial expertise in a meaningful, community-driven context.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead economic development initiatives with Indigenous communities, including feasibility studies, business planning, and funding strategies
- Develop and interpret financial models to support capital planning, infrastructure investment, and long-term sustainability
- Identify innovative ways to deliver added value to clients; ensure needs are met and relationships grow and develop
- Support proposal development, client engagement, and business development activities
- Maintain high quality control and apply specialized knowledge to anticipate, identify and address issues or key risks relevant to the client’s business
- Network in the local business community, consider business development opportunities
- Mentor, motivate and coach team members towards professional and personal development
- Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in economic development, finance/accounting, financial modeling, or consulting
- Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Indigenous Studies, or a related field
- CPA, CFA, and strong financial acumen considered an asset
- Experience working with Indigenous communities or organization
- Demonstration of advanced project management skills and tactics
- Proven people management, relationship building and leadership skills
