What is the opportunity?
This individual will be responsible for providing leadership to the RBC Clearing & Custody (C&C) Technology Training Team. They will ensure quality deliverables are met with measured results and will implement effective proactive strategies for internal and external customer’s learning and development needs.
This role reports to the C&C Director, Consulting & Education and will ensure that the Technology Training team works in close collaboration with the Field Service Team and Business & Technology Consulting team to provide a high quality and cohesive learning experience to C&C firms.
What will you do?
People Management – Coach, mentor and develop the technology training team to achieve training goals. Onboard new trainers and provide ongoing coaching of all applications and our method of providing a consistent superior training experience.
Instructional Design – Primary contact for C&C technology training needs. Evaluates training requests to provide guidance on completion of training analysis, used to determine course content, timelines and delivery methods (classroom, e-learning, web conference, blended, etc.).
Training & Demonstration Delivery: Delivery of in-person and virtual training to our clients. The team supports our business development lifecycle by providing customized technology demonstrations to prospective clients.
Relationship Management – Provides superior client experience and strengthens relationships with at all levels within the RBC organization and clients. Collaborates with internal colleagues to deliver and increase adoption of our technology tools. This includes participation in project meetings.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- 2+ years of financial services industry experience, preferably with a broker-dealer or other large financial advisory firm.
- 3+ years of people management experience.
- 5+ years of training related experience.
- Strong presentation skills. Experience hosting webinars via Webex or a similar tool.
- Ability to travel when needed to client offices across the US (up to 25%).

- Ability to create, execute and maintain training plans.
- Ability to take initiative, function independently, and work in a team.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects while ensuring that goals are met.
- Ability to collaborate across multiple business lines, functions and roles.

The expected salary range for this particular position is $85,000-$150,000, depending on your experience, skills, and registration status, market conditions and business needs.
