Your Role
• Support and lead your colleagues
• Process rejected non-standard transactions for settlement or payment
• Act as a resource person for business line account managers, internal and external portfolio managers and other operations teams.
• Responding to various requests, mainly by email, but also by phone
• Analyze various types of reconciliation and explain discrepancies and make recommendations to resolve issues
• Master the various processes related to Custody from end to end to provide quality support
Your Team's Mandate
• Ensure the settlement of daily transactions from institutional portfolio managers.
• Implement and maintain daily controls required for the smooth functioning of operations.
Your Team
Within the National Bank Trust sector, you are part of a large team of 150 colleagues across Canada (Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver) and report to the Director, Custody Operations at National Bank Trust. Our team stands out for its agility, dynamism, and personalized client approach.
Prerequisites
• Completed bachelor's degree relevant to the field and 5-6 years of relevant experience
• Experience in operations
• Experience analysing complex issues
• Good knowledge of assets custody and portfolio management.
• Good knowledge of transactions settlement activities
• Knowledge of SWIFT and SSCNET systems
• Knowledge of the Global+ system (an asset)
• Knowledge of life cycle of investment products (FX, Reorg, CASH MANAGEMENT, MONETARY RECONCILIATION) (an asset)
• Ability to quickly understand complex issues and devise action plans to resolve them.
• Influential leadership and excellent team spirit.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
