Purpose of your Position - Non Union
Classification Summary - Union
Police Services Disclosure Specialist manages the information in Major Case Management applications including analysis and planning. Facilitates the collection, retrieval, sharing and analysis of investigative materials, and coordinates and directs other staff.
Duties - Union
-
Plans, organizes and coordinates staff activities; prioritizes various service requests.

Evaluates, develops and designs business processes enabling the implementation of electronic case management.

Provides guidance and expert advice on the use of major case management systems to major case management project command triangle, coordinated investigative team, outside agencies, etc.

Evaluates all elements of the major case including scope and deliverables.

Develops and delivers a variety of training workshops as the “team leader”.

Responsible for time critical creation of database extractions of information used for disclosure.

Interprets policy and best practices in response to defined business requirements and makes recommendations on how data is entered, cross linked and pulled from the database to address the complex characteristics of major cases.

Reviews information management: procedures, qualify standards, and practices based on the major case management mandate and objectives.
