We are looking for a dynamic individual who is devoted to helping others and improving the lives and well-being of children and families to join our team as an Out of Home Care Supervisor in our Prince Albert office. In this role, you will supervise, manage, and implement programs designed to provide protective, preventative, and support services to children, parents and foster families utilizing the Family Centered Case Management Model and P.R.I.D.E. Model of Practice. You can be headquartered in Saskatoon or Regina and travel to Prince Albert to fulfill this role. Reimbursement for eligible expenses related to travelling to Prince Albert for this position will be reimbursed.

In this position, you will:

  • Supervise, train, support, coach, and monitor the quality of care/practice provided by Child and Family Program staff who deliver a variety of services to families.
  • Lead and assist in managing change within the work unit and the service area.
  • Provide supervision in utilizing the PRIDE model of practice and support to ministry, Indigenous Child and Family Services, Saskatchewan Foster Family Association and other community partners and agencies on an ongoing basis.
  • Provide leadership on implementation of policies, procedures, services and community resources.
  • Work effectively and positively with supervisors, colleagues and the management team to support initiatives, directions that continuously improve or enhance service delivery to children and their families.
  • Ensure that standards and quality of service are met.
  • Liaise, consult and respond to inquiries from a variety of outside stakeholders.
  • Represent the unit, ministry or service area on various agency, community or internal committees.

As our successful candidate, you will:

  • Have knowledge of child protection issues and socio-economic factors that may contribute to child abuse and neglect.
  • Have experience providing leadership, guidance, support, direction, and training to a diverse group of employees.
  • Have experience applying the family-centered case management model when assessing, developing, adjusting, implementing, and evaluating case plans.
  • Have a sincere commitment to relationships and community, practicing from a place of connection.
  • Have knowledge of multi-cultural beliefs and values, with emphasis on First Nations and Métis.

To qualify for this position, you will possess a Bachelor of Social Work or Bachelor of Indigenous Social Work degree from an accredited university, as approved by the SASW/CASW or CASWE. The successful candidate will have several years of experience in a Child Protection/Children’s Services program within Child and Family programs, AND supervising professional staff.
