WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Community Managers play a critical role in the successful operations of our apartment complexes and in the overall success of Hazelview. This role is primarily responsible for day to day operations of an assigned portfolio of buildings (at least 300-400 units) including: leasing, building operations and capital projects. Community Managers are confident leaders, possessing excellent communication skills with the ability to evaluate economic trends, profitability and marketing issues. This role requires the ability to work under pressure, handle varied emergency situations and to troubleshoot operational and management problems unique to an assigned area.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL?
- Related real estate experience and/or exposure to multi-residential or other related industry asset class
- 1-2 years of supervisory or managerial related experience
- Certified Property Manager designation (CPM) or Accredited Residential Manager (ARM) an asset
- Knowledge of current laws, legislation and rights concerning residents
- Knowledge of Building/Property Maintenance
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, drywall, carpentry, painting, etc
- Proficient with use of basic handheld and electrical tools would be an asset
- Computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, Yardi, Email, Internet)
- Flexibility to work on-call on a rotating schedule (evenings & weekends)
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Community Managers are dynamic, service‑driven leaders who set the tone for an exceptional resident experience. They lead by example, ensuring their buildings operate smoothly while fostering a welcoming, well‑maintained community environment. They balance customer service excellence with strong operational oversight, confidently navigating day‑to‑day challenges and supporting their teams through fast‑paced, sometimes high‑pressure situations.
Compensation:
The expected annualized base salary range for this position is $55,000 - $70,000. The actual salary offered will take into consideration a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the individual’s skill, experience, and relevant education or training.
Base salary is only one component of Hazelview’s competitive total rewards package. Other offerings also include annual bonuses, comprehensive health and dental benefits, RRSP contributions, education reimbursements, continuous development opportunities, and a variety of paid time off plans (e.g. vacation, wellness, volunteering, and education days).
