Description
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
- Analyse project plans, specifications, and related documents to determine scope and costs.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop project budgets and schedules.
- Lead and mentor the estimating team, ensuring consistent quality and performance.
- Identify potential risks and propose mitigation strategies during the bidding process.
- Maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing.
- Provide support in negotiating contracts and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Stay updated on market trends, materials, and labour costs within the property industry.

Profile
A successful Senior / Chief Estimator should have:
- Strong expertise in construction estimation within the buildings general contracting industry, specifically light industrial new build projects.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with estimating software and tools commonly used in the industry.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- A commitment to delivering high-quality and accurate work.
