Your impact
We are looking for an Executive Assistant to provide exemplary senior-level administrative support to our Deputy Minister’s office. This important position acts as a liaison between the Deputy Minister’s office and the department as well as coordinates the ongoing work and priorities of the office.

Our ideal candidate will have excellent administrative skills and is interested in learning new tasks at a senior level. To be successful in this role, you will have excellent organizational skills combined with the ability to analyze, adapt and problem solve in a fast-paced environment. This includes the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Essential qualifications
Please submit your resume clearly demonstrating how you meet the qualifications below. Selections for further consideration will be based solely on the information you provide in your resume.

  • Post-secondary coursework in business administration, office administration, or other related field;
  • Significant experience providing senior administrative support service such as coordinating travel, developing processes, managing calendars and records, proof reading and taking minutes;
  • Experience performing research, and compiling and presenting information in a written format;
  • Strong computer literacy including use of administrative office software and databases.

If selected for an interview, candidates should have, and may be assessed on, the following:

  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability to deliver executive administrative support
  • Ability to adapt and work effectively within a variety of situations
  • Ability to be proactive, understand issues, identify problems and suggest options to determine the appropriate solutions
  • Strong attention to detail and organizing and prioritizing work
  • Creates a client-focused culture for the entire organization and engages others in providing outstanding service to internal and external clients
  • Self-awareness combined with strong interpersonal skills to build credibility and relationships.

Conditions of employment
You must meet the following conditions before being hired, or within the time frame noted.

  • Possess and maintain a valid Yukon Class 5 driver’s license.
