SUMMARY
The CLBPA is a comprehensive CLB-based language assessment with in-person and online processes designed for placement of eligible learners into government-funded language training classes. The CLBPA replaces the older tools as the main language assessment used across Canada.
Under the direction of the Project Manager, National Language Assessment Training and Support (NLATS), the Test Content Lead will oversee the development and production of new CLBPA test content and liaise with contracted services and language training providers as needed. The Test Content Lead plays a key role in offsite pilot testing in Ontario and internal user acceptance testing. Applicants must reside in Ontario and be legally eligible to work full time in Canada.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor work plans and schedule tasks to meet project deliverables
- Ensure that activities are completed in accordance with requirements and company policies
- Oversee and monitor quality and consistency of work completed by contractors
- Coordinate, schedule and support activities related to pilot testing
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with LTPs and other organizations
- Oversee raters/testers regarding collected samples
- Prepare documents, reports, spreadsheets for data analysis
- Collaborate with team members in the delivery of services
- Participate in UAT for the platform in each sprint as defined by IT
- Work closely with the IT team to ensure online integration of test content and reporting enhancements for a stable, functional system
- Moderate and assist with online sessions as needed
- Attend regular meetings with the IT team regarding ongoing platform upgrades and enhancements
- Prepare status reports and provide ongoing follow up
- Provide updates to management for narrative reports
- Assist/collaborate with Project Coordinator and regional trainers as needed
- Other duties as assigned by Project Manager
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Post-secondary degree in a relevant discipline
- Minimum 3 years of work experience in areas such as test development, project coordination, online platforms
- Minimum 1 year experience dealing with subcontracted services
- Extensive knowledge and experience working with the CLBPA tool and platform
- Demonstrated experience with pilot testing and managing participant groups
- Good understanding and experience with user acceptance testing
- Project management experience an asset
- Knowledge of and experience with technology platforms and online learning
- Solid background and familiarity with Canadian Language Benchmarks
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, video conferencing, e-learning, Azure DevOps, MS Project, internet research
- Demonstrated initiative and proven ability to work collaboratively
- A high degree of English language proficiency, both oral and written
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- High level of flexibility and adaptability
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to travel to different sites for pilot testing
- Ability to work a flexible schedule depending on project needs
