The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $99,400 - $142,900. The salary offered will be based on the candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills and qualifications.

Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) has an exciting opportunity for a Consultant, Business Systems Analyst, focused on TCI’s Digital Retail Solutions (DRS). This full-time role reports to the Manager, Enterprise Business Solutions, Consumer & Dealer within Information Services (IS) department and serves as the functional lead and subject matter expert for DRS.

The Business Systems Analyst is the technical liaison between business units and Information Services, supporting the business in projects, enhancements, requirements, process improvements and problem resolution. Responsible for initial assessment of new initiatives, understanding and documenting business requirements and providing high level solution and design recommendations, creating specifications for DRS solutions including development, delivery and sustainment. Ensuring solutions are aligned with business objectives and enterprise architecture standards. Providing strong business analysis leadership, deep functional knowledge, and coordination across business (Business Product Owner), technical teams (Technical Product Owners, Integration, Data) and external partners.

What You’ll be Doing:

Subject Matter Expert & Solution Enablement

  • Act as the subject matter expert for Digital Retail Solutions, with a strong understanding of end-to-end business processes, system capabilities, integrations, and data flows across digital retail ecosystem, including:
  • Customer and dealer data in CRM solution (Salesforce)
  • Vehicle and transactional data in ERP solution (SAP)
  • Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM)
  • Integrations (e.g., MuleSoft APIs, file transfer protocols)
  • Security, privacy, and compliance considerations
  • Data governance rules and data analytics capabilities
  • Support the ongoing evolution of DRS by identifying gaps, risks, dependencies, and opportunities for improvement
  • Provide functional insight to support roadmap planning, backlog refinement, and release planning
  • Provide functional guidance during solution design and architecture discussions, ensuring delivery teams understand business intent, constraints, and expected outcomes

Business Analysis & Agile Delivery

  • Lead business analysis activities for Digital Retail initiatives, from intake through delivery and sustainment
  • Partner with business stakeholders, IS teams, AMS providers, Dealers, and vendors to elicit, analyze, document and validate requirements
  • Translate business needs into clear Agile user stories with acceptance criteria and supporting documentation
  • Develop, validate and maintain key artifacts, including process flows, functional specifications, and conceptual models
  • Collaborate with Architects, Integration, Data, and Security teams to ensure solutions are feasible, scalable, and aligned with enterprise standards
  • Support development, coordinate and participate in SIT and UAT, including defining test scenarios, and validating outcomes to ensure solution meets business requirements and intended outcomes

Stakeholder & Ecosystem Collaboration

  • Act as a key liaison between business teams, IS delivery teams, Dealer Management Systems (DMS) providers, partners, and affiliates
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure shared understanding, informed decisions, and successful delivery
  • Contribute to a collaborative, agile team environment that encourages transparency, continuous improvement, and shared accountability

Operational Support & Continuous Improvement

  • Provide functional support for incident, problem, and change management related to DRS
  • Work with support teams and service providers to analyze incidents, determine root causes, resolve issues, and implement improvements to prevent recurrence
  • Lead demand intake, enhancement analysis, and release coordination, including upgrades, and maintenance activities
  • Maintain functional documentation, knowledge artifacts, and process standards to support operational continuity

What You’ll Bring:

  • University Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline
  • Professional certifications in business analysis and/or agile practices (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) are considered an asset
  • 6-10 years of experience in business systems analysis, solution delivery, or functional leadership role, ideally supporting enterprise applications or digital solutions
  • Hands-on experience in requirements gathering, software specifications, process modeling, conceptualization, and solution design
  • Strong understanding of business processes, system integrations, and multi-stakeholder environments
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional discussions, drive alignment, and achieve process improvements
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to exercise initiative and good judgment
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, with experience communicating effectively to technical and non-technical audiences
