This is a unique opportunity to shape and scale a growing portfolio within Blue Cross Life. We’re seeking a senior leader with deep expertise in group insurance to drive the growth of our group and individual business lines across the Canadian market. This role will play a key part in expanding our presence, including evolving our voluntary benefits offering, while identifying new opportunities to strengthen our market position. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, you’ll operate as a highly visible partner across the organization, working closely with Product, Marketing, Sales, and Distribution to bring new solutions to market and deliver sustainable growth. What You’ll Do Lead the growth strategy for group and individual insurance lines, including expansion of voluntary benefits within a broader portfolio Partner across Product, Marketing, and Sales to develop and launch new products and enhancements Identify and pursue new growth opportunities across markets, products, and distribution channels Build, strengthen, and optimize distribution partnerships and channels to increase reach and performance Develop and implement strategies to cross-sell and deepen relationships with existing clients Anticipate and respond to the evolving needs of plan sponsors, customers, and distribution partners Provide market intelligence, competitive insights, and performance analysis to inform strategic decisions Ensure all initiatives align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices What You Bring Deep expertise in group insurance within the Canadian market 10+ years of progressive experience in insurance, including leadership roles focused on growth, distribution, or commercial strategy Proven ability to lead through influence and drive outcomes across product, marketing, and sales Strong track record of building and managing distribution channels and strategic partnerships Experience translating market insights into actionable growth strategies and product opportunities Skilled at influencing senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders An entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to build and scale a new or evolving line of business Excellent communication and presentation skills Life license (LLQP) or willingness to obtain English is requirement, written and verbal, to provide services to our customers and communicate with internal stakeholders. Bilingualism (ENG/FR) is considered an asset Pay Range 150,000 - 190,000 CAD #CBM1 This posting is for a newly created position within our organization. The Base Pay range may vary depending on the successful candidate or other relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience and education/training. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Blue Cross Life employees may participate in various performance-based incentive programs.
