About the role
Capstone Infrastructure Corporation (“Capstone”) is hiring a Project Coordinator to join our Development Team in Montréal, Québec.
Compensation Ranges from $58,000 – $70,000 per year, plus bonus, based on relevant experience.
This newly created role will support development activities for wind, solar and battery projects from greenfield and contracted development projects across Québec.
We are looking for a candidate with:
- 1+year in the renewable energy sector and experience assisting with planning, execution, and monitoring projects
- French as a first language, with the ability to communicate clearly in English, both written and oral
- Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
1.)Under the supervision of the Project Manager and the Development Manager, coordinate project development activities, including
- Land acquisition
- Environmental assessments
- Stakeholder consultation and management
- Local municipality, county, provincial, and federal permitting
- Energy assessment
- Project technical design, infrastructure siting
2.) Support day-to-day project management activities, including:
- Project budgeting and scheduling.
- Engaging and directing external resources for technical, environmental, or other scopes of work.
- Supporting in writing reports, presentations correspondence related to project development and approvals.
- Creating and managing project documentation, such as reports and meeting minutes.
- Assisting with the organization of meetings, events and site visits.
- Assisting with tracking potential project risks and mitigations.
3.) Support project management activities related to new growth opportunities, including greenfield development and due diligence of prospective acquisitions.
4.) Conduct background research on policies and regulations.
5.) Support the development team with other project tasks as required.
6.) Represents Capstone in public settings at meetings and conferences.
Qualifications and Experience
As the ideal candidate for this position, you will have the following:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent –bachelor’s in engineering or environmental science,
- One or more years of experience in large-scale commercial project development. Prior renewable energy experience is an asset.
- Strong project management skills, highly organized and able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with accuracy and strong attention to detail.
- Analytical, problem solver with the ability to work independently or in teams, and quickly learn new concepts/processes.
- Excellent written and verbal French and English communication.
- Proven ability to exercise good judgment in recognizing the scope of authority and protecting confidential information.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to travel as required(estimated at up to10-20%).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver’s licence.
