Responsibilities
Serve customers, respond to inquiries, and provide carry-out service when required. Stock shelves and maintain displays with dry goods, dairy, and refrigerated products, ensuring proper product rotation. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the department, including dusting shelves, cleaning spills, and checking product expiry dates. Perform daily floor inspections and maintain sweep logs. Break down pallets and transport stock from the warehouse to the sales floor for restocking. Assist in receiving and organizing incoming merchandise. Collect shopping carts and maintain cleanliness of the front entrance area. Perform general store maintenance duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous retail or customer service experience is an asset. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment Availability for flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Proficiency in English required; French is considered an asset. Forklift/power jack training and Smart Serve certification are assets.
Terms of Employment: Permanent Full-time (40 hours/week)

Hourly Rate: $17.60 -$21.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Transportation: Fresh Market Foods will cover a one-time round-trip travel cost for the successful candidate to our location and back to their permanent residence at the end of the work period. (This does not include the cost for a full trailer move (household goods, trailers, or large personal belongings etc.).
Housing: Below-market value employee housing may be available, subject to availability.
