About The Scholarship Recognizing the history that our country was built upon and the benefits that we as an organization have gained, Lifemark Health Group shares in the responsibility to remove existing barriers to success for our Indigenous community members.
The Lifemark Scholarship for Indigenous Students was created to support diversity within the occupational therapy and physiotherapy professions. The annual scholarship is available to students from Indigenous communities and provides financial support in the form of a $5,000 award for those pursuing post-secondary learning in a recognized Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy Masters program in Canada.
Who can apply?
- Must be a full-time student in good academic standing
- Currently attending one of Canada’s recognized Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy Masters programs
- Must be a member of the Indigenous community
- Must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Heritage, identity and school admission will be verified prior to the payment of the award

Expectations
- As part of the awards obligation, successful completion of your Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy is anticipated.
- We are proud to support this community and will ask you to write a short reflection at the close of your academic year noting how this award has impacted your rehabilitation student journey. Your statement will be used to promote this opportunity to others and will be shared on public facing platforms. We will ask for your consent to publicly share your reflection.
