Ontario Health at Home is looking for an experienced healthcare leader to provide management oversight to provincial Medical Equipment & Supply (MES) vendor supply and demand planning, the robustness and availability of provincial MES formulary items, MES Owned Equipment and Exceptional Items process excellence, and MES communications to support internal staff and external partners. Under the direction of the Director, Contracts – MES, the Senior Manager, MES Inventory Management will support contractual formulary changes and amendments, supply/equipment issues/events monitoring and management, contract modernization related to evolving service delivery models, and provincial reporting and standardization projects in alignment with the provincial mandate, legislation and organizational mission, vision and values.

What will you do?
- Main liaison for MES vendors and Ontario Health atHome (OH atHome) Patient Care (PC) Contracts team to resolve provincial MES supply issues
- Collaborates synergistically with the Senior Manager, MES Vendor Management to enhance and improve vendor service delivery and patient satisfaction outcomes
- Out of Stock/inventory management including creating, and posting of results and MSP formulary updates, and in collaboration with the Ontario Health atHome Communications Team, communicates formulary/supply changes to Ontario Health atHome staff and external partners
- Stock and supply performance/metric evaluation and provincial reporting in alignment with the provincial mandate, legislation and organizational mission, vision and values.
- Routine and urgent provision of vendor site visits/audits in collaboration with Patient Care Contract leads, ensuring appropriate evaluation and remediation as required
- Leads provincial vendor contract-related working groups and committees with the focus on quality improvement with other portfolio leads
- Review/approval of formulary additions/removal and implementation of changes in CHRIS in collaboration with Ontario Health.
- In collaboration with Senior Manager MES Vendor Management, ensures ongoing vendor contract updates related to changing formularies
- Management and oversight of the Provincial Exceptional Items and Owned Equipment Processes
- Management and communications of product recalls & defects, liaising with vendors/manufacturers to support effective communication with patients/families, Ontario Health atHome staff and external partners
- Works in collaboration with Patient Care Contracts and Patient Services colleagues across Ontario Health atHome to inform supply and demand planning and enhance formulary product performance
- Standardization of policies, processes, and new initiatives related to MES formulary and Exceptional Items/Owned Equipment modernization, supporting Patient Care Contracts and Patient Services Directors across the province
- Provides leadership to direct reports.
- Participates and supports in Ontario Health Team (OHT) design and development, including working in close collaboration with Ontario Health atHome colleagues Collaborates with Ontario Health to guide provincial vendor procurement processes to deliver open and fair competitive bidding processes, contract negotiations, and implementation of new provincial formulary items in line with MOH Contract Management Guidelines, MOH Procurement Policies and Procedures, and the provincial Vendor Contract Performance Framework
What must you have?
- A degree, in health care administration, health sciences, or health discipline and evidence of continuous learning related to health and/or contract law
- Certified Supply Chain Management Professional Designation required. Completion of another relevant supply chain designation and/or significant experience may be considered
- Minimum 5 to7 years of professional experience in SPO/vendor contract and relationship management, and health care service planning and delivery in the public sector/Ontario Health atHome
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management
- Experience related to CHRIS function, system capabilities and requirements
- Proficiency in the facilitation/documentation of agreements and familiarity with negotiation, conflict resolution and in arbitration
- Experience in the preparation of governance-level documentation
- People leadership expertise and proven experience in the delivery of strong results through innovation and a high-performing team
- Expert knowledge of SPO/vendor contracts
- Expert level understanding of supply chain processes, MES equipment and supplies, relationship, contract performance, and change management frameworks
- Excellent understanding of care processes and requirements and the interconnection with vendor delivery of high quality services
- In-depth knowledge of complex and dynamic business environments in the public and private sectors in supply chain, procurement, SPO/vendor relations, and quality improvement
- Expert knowledge of performance metrics, analysis and reporting
- Strong communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills as well as evidence of ability to promote and maintain interpersonal relationships and strategic partnerships
- Being bilingual in English and French is an asset
