ABOUT THE JOB
We are looking for a Senior MES Consultant to join our team!
The purpose of this role is to deliver successful Manufacturing Execution System (MES) projects that drive tangible business benefits for our clients. You’ll be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing complex work packages across multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery.
As a trusted MES expert, you’ll also coach and mentor developing team members, helping to strengthen capability and promote a culture of continuous improvement. SUMMARY OF ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
You will:
- Facilitate client discovery workshops to elicit requirements for solutions intended to generate process improvements and unlock business benefit.
- Lead the analysis of customer requirements for technical and commercial feasibility to ensure value co-creation and business justification.
- Produce clear and concise requirements documentation that can be understood by both internal and external stakeholders ensuring alignment.
- Support with pre-sales activities such as customer visits, costing exercises, demonstrations / presentations and formal commercial proposals.
- Own the delivery of pre cursor information required to implement solutions by providing subject matter expertise to clients.
- Lead the definition of system acceptance, agreeing with clients the critical success factors, the approach to testing through (FAT, SAT & UAT) environments to be used and the steps to be carried out in order to ensure successful delivery.
- Manage the boundary of functional scope supporting with changes and variations.
- Support change management and system adoption through documentation, training and user role development ensuring organizations have the skills and structure to adopt and embrace newly implemented digital technologies.
- Provide operational excellence with insight into data trends using the implemented solutions that suggest further operational changes that provide business benefit maximizing return on investment.
- Mentor/Coach internal peers within the team to develop there domain expertise in unfamiliar subject areas.
- Manage timelines from within multiple different workstreams ensuring project / customer commitments are delivered on time in full.
- Manage work allocation and resourcing within the team to ensure delivery commitments are met and effective utilisation.
- Develop internal processes, policies and procedures to ensure continuous improvement.
- Support recruitment when required.
SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS
We are looking for:
Experience and Knowledge
- 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 5 years experience in a similar consulting environment.
- Experience and exposure with innovative technologies and delivery mechanisms.
- Experience in continuous improvement / process improvement using LEAN methodologies.
- Experience with automation (IOT, PLC’s, SCADA).
- Engineering degree or HNC/D in mechanical engineering or similar relevant discipline.
- Lean 6 Sigma (Green Belt and Yellow Belt).
Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge and understanding of industrial networking, data privacy and cybersecurity.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to communicate effectively, adapting different styles and language used where appropriate.
