Position Overview

Reporting to the Regional Director - Pharmacy, the Pharmacy Site Manager is responsible and accountable for the planning and management of patient-centered pharmaceutical care services designed for their assigned site(s) and administrative responsibilities as assigned. As a member of the Pharmacy Leadership Team, the incumbent ensures that pharmaceutical care services are aligned with strategic priorities and meet high standards of quality and patient safety. The incumbent oversees the day-to-day operations of the site’s pharmacy team and leads the pharmacy staff in establishing efficient and effective delivery of pharmacy services. These services will ensure a safe, timely, and cost-effective medication management system that supports patient-centered pharmaceutical care.

The incumbent exercises the appropriate level of initiative and independent judgment in determining work priorities, work methods to be employed and action to be taken on unusual matters. The position functions in a manner that is consistent with the mission, vision and values; and the policies of Southern Health-Santé Sud.

Le titulaire supervise les opérations quotidiennes de l'équipe de la pharmacie du site et dirige le personnel afin d'établir une prestation efficace et efficiente des services de pharmacie. Ces services garantiront un système de gestion des médicaments sûr, rapide et rentable qui soutient les soins pharmaceutiques centrés sur le patient.

Le ou la titulaire du poste bénéficie d’un niveau d’initiative approprié et fait preuve d’un jugement indépendant pour déterminer les priorités de travail, les méthodes de travail à utiliser et les mesures à adopter pour traiter les questions inhabituelles. Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience working as a pharmacist.
• Previous hospital experience is desirable.
• Previous management experience is desirable.
• Completion of a hospital residency program is desirable.

Expérience:

• Minimum de 5 ans d'expérience en tant que pharmacien.
• Expérience préalable en milieu hospitalier est souhaitable.
• Expérience préalable en gestion est souhaitable.
• Programme de résidence en milieu hospitalier est souhaitable.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

• Bachelor of Science (Pharmacy) OR Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from a recognized University.
• Completion of a Hospital Pharmacy Residency is an asset.

Formation (degré/diplôme/certificat):

• Baccalauréat ès sciences (pharmacie) OU doctorat en pharmacie (PharmD) d'une Université reconnue.
• Résidence en pharmacie hospitalière est un atout.

Certification/Licensure/Registration

• Current practicing membership or eligibility for registration and membership with the College of Pharmacist of Manitoba (CPhM).
• Membership in the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacy (CSHP) is an asset.

Certification/permis d’exercice/enregistrement:

• Membre en règle de l'Ordre des pharmaciens du Manitoba (CPhM) ou être admissible à l'inscription et à l'adhésion à l'Ordre.
• L'adhésion à la Société canadienne de la pharmacie hospitalière (SCPH) est un atout.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficiency of both official languages is essential (English/French).
• Given the cultural diversity of our region, the ability to communicate in more than one language would be considered an asset.
• Demonstrated ability to respect confidentiality including paper, electronic formats and other mediums.
• Good work and attendance record.
