Summary of Position

Preferably working out of the Prince George, BC or Houston, Texas Office. This role is primarily office-based but candidate must have the ability to travel to other CCI Group of Companies offices when needed. This position is responsible for providing fast and useful technical assistance on computer systems. Reporting to the IT Manager, you will answer queries on basic technical issues and offer advice to solve them in a timely manner.

Accountabilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for end users seeking technical assistance over the phone or email
  • Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions
  • Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by clients
  • Walk the client through the problem-solving process
  • Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel, updating tickets ensuring all information id captured
  • Perform Onboard / offboard procedures for staff changes
  • Provide accurate information on IT products or services
  • Record events and problems and their resolution in logs
  • Follow-up and update customer status and information
  • Pass on any feedback or suggestions from customers to the appropriate internal team
  • Track and report on all IT assets including laptops, phones and tablets.
  • Identify and suggest possible improvements to procedures
  • Support IT with any project work or tasks

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a help desk technician or other customer service role
  • Tech savvy with working knowledge of office automation products, databases and remote tools
  • Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues
  • Excellent understanding of the Windows OS and M365 product
  • Proficiency in English
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Customer-oriented and cool-tempered
  • Degree/Diploma in IT, Computer Science or relevant field
  • ITIL certification would be a nice to have
  • 0-3 years’ experience in IT

Other Assets (Skills and Training)

  • Technical writing skills.
  • Any professional certifications; CompTIA A+, CCNA, MSCP, etc.
