Astellas Pharma Canada (APCA) is looking to fill vacant position – Lead, Global Medical Insights. Description The Lead, Global Medical Insights is accountable for the end-to-end insights lifecycle in Medical Affairs (MA) globally, including strategy, processes, operational models, and technology required to capture, assess, and report medical insights. The incumbent is accountable for ensuring MA is enabled to capture, identify, and report on MA insights that will inform future Medical Affairs strategy efficiently and effectively. Working collaboratively with global cross-functional teams, this role will establish efficient workflows, ensure data integrity, and drive the strategic direction of medical affairs by leveraging actionable insights. The scope of impact extends to the seamless integration of insights into decision-making processes, ultimately contributing to the success of medical affairs strategies.
Essential Job Duties
- Accountable for overall end-to-end global process for MA insights across all Astellas priority products / TAs
- Responsible for leading the gathering of business requirements and translating them into efficient and effective processes.
- Establish data governance standards to ensure the quality, consistency, and reliability of insights.
- Accountable for developing and maintaining key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of insights processes.
- Responsible for leading continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the agility and responsiveness of insights workflows.
- Provide guidance on best practices for capturing and leveraging insights to drive strategic decision-making.
- Accountable for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards in capturing and using medical insights
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor's Degree
- 12+ years industry experience, or Master's degree and significant experience within an insights-focused role
- 5+ years experience managing multiple strategic and tactical projects
- Ability to learn new systems and software rapidly
- Experience in implementing and managing technology solutions for insights generation and reporting.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to medical affairs and data governance.
- Demonstrated ability to operate successfully in a matrix organization
Preferred
- Experience working across multiple cultures and countries / regions
Working Environment
- This position is remote and is based in Canada.

Salary Range: $130k - $180k CAD annually per year (final compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to proficiency levels and organizational equity considerations)
- The salary range provided applies to Canada only and does not apply to any other locations outside of Canada.
