##Position Overview:
The exchange planner is responsible for the inventory management of various component rebuild centres in Western Canada. Responsibilities include end-to-end supply chain management and collaboration to support planning within the assigned rebuild facilities. They are accountable for supporting Case creation, customer required dates, work instructions. Experience with transactional support in M3 is an asset. Success is measured by: demand fulfillment, component availability, supply plan attainment, component inventory, WIP administration, and other applicable customer requirements for their assigned value stream. They are also responsible for maintaining positive customer relationships and collaborating with stakeholders in creative problem solving for the value stream.
##Job Description:
- Create supply plans through rebuilds and seeding for their assigned value stream
- Account for inventory strategy, demand fulfillment, CRC capacity, invested capital and other applicable customer requirements
- Create detailed supply plans for individual components and make seeding recommendations when required
- Regular review and adjustment of plans to changing circumstances in a highly dynamic environment
- Communicate plans and priorities to involved parties responsible for plan execution including multiple CRC’s
- Communicate expected ship dates, delays and risks to demand fulfillment to ESP’s (Exchange Supply Planners)
- Monitor flow of cores through the supply chain to ensure cores are being returned and processed in alignment with plan requirements (escalating cores outstanding and cores on hand, and monitoring WIP velocity)
- Generate and communicate plan attainment reporting (daily, weekly, monthly)
- Ensure operating system is up to date on a daily basis
Qualifications:
- Strong administrative skills and attention to detail
- Experience in parts planning and/or supply chain management
- Minimum 2 years related experience or an acceptable combination of education and work experience
- Bachelor of Commerce or other relevant post-secondary education considered an asset
- CAT product knowledge considered an asset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for a demanding and customer focused work environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to work in a multi-functional team
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills
- Excellent organizational skills including the ability to work efficiently and effectively under tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and quality
- Proven ability to be aware and flexible through assessment of situations
- Proficient in MS Office applications, advanced level in Excel
- Familiarity with M3, specifically parts inventory functions within Lawson
- Ability to utilize a variety of software tools to perform forecasting, modelling, analysis, simulations & flow chart functions considered an asset
Note:
- This position is based out of our OEM Remanufacturing office in Edmonton
- Permanent, full-time role
- This is a Monday - Friday, 5x2 shift
