Data-Driven Merchandising

As a Merchandise Data and Process Analyst you will support by developing and executing data driven category management plans. Led by the Manager, Category Management this opportunity will suit someone who has strong analytical skills as well as a strategic acumen.

  • Design, develop, and deliver advanced analytics, dashboards, and automated reporting solutions using Power BI, DAX, Excel, and enterprise BI tools to enable data-driven merchandising decisions.
  • Extract, transform, and integrate large datasets from multiple enterprise systems and databases (RMS, HH1 Discoverer, Data Warehouse, POS Data Cube) to create scalable, user-friendly reporting environments.
  • Produce and manage analytical reporting that supports strategic planning, forecasting, and visibility to sales, receipts, inventory, and margin performance across categories.
  • Leverage Python and data automation techniques to cleanse, structure, and optimize large datasets, improving reporting accuracy, processing speed, and tool performance.
  • Conduct advanced quantitative and qualitative analysis to identify trends, risks, and performance opportunities, translating findings into actionable category and financial insights.
  • Partner with cross-functional business and IT stakeholders to define data requirements, support system enhancements, and deliver technology-enabled analytical solutions.
  • Act as a business systems liaison on cross-functional initiatives, supporting data validation, user acceptance testing (UAT), and end-to-end implementation of merchandising tools and system enhancements.
  • Drive continuous improvement in data governance, quality, and process automation while supporting analytics related to key merchandising initiatives (e.g., Imports, Private Brands, Quality, After-Sales Service etc.).

We’re looking for:

  • Diploma in Business, Math or Data Analytics with 3-5 years of experience.
  • Design, develop, and deliver advanced analytics, dashboards, and automated reporting solutions using Power BI, DAX, Excel, and enterprise BI tools to enable data-driven merchandising decisions.

  • The ability to be onsite three days a week at our corporate office in St. Jacobs, to accommodate our hybrid working model.

  • The expected starting salary range for this role is**$62,200- $81,600**; the final offer will reflect relevant skills and experience.
