Pay & Grade**:** $23.81 to $32.14 Hourly
Hours of Work**:**Up to 24 Hours per week
Initial location: Kitchener City Hall

Overview
Seeking a dedicated Art Instructor to develop and lead engaging art programs, ensuring participants receive high-quality instruction and support. An ideal candidate will have experience in art education, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to fostering creativity in a safe and welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Program Preparation: Create and conduct engaging programs for participants, ensuring they meet required standards.
- Activity Instruction: Demonstrate and teach activities using established methods, providing helpful feedback to participants.
- Safety Assurance: Explain and enforce safety rules for sports, recreation activities, and equipment use.
- Supply Management: Gather and organize necessary supplies and equipment.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records, including class attendance and incident reports, and distribute relevant forms and program information.
- Equipment Care: Ensure equipment is used safely, kept in good condition, and stored properly.
- Customer Service: Address participants' immediate concerns and needs, providing excellent customer service.
- Facility Liaison: Act as a bridge between the facility and participants.
- Additional Duties: Perform other related tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma and current technical or practical training in a relevant discipline.
- One year of related experience.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including daytime, evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on program needs.
- Proven experience in providing instruction within a program setting.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, along with strong customer service and behavior management abilities.
- Provide a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check at your own expense as a condition of employment.
- Reliable with a good attitude and employment record.
