The Group Product Manager is a strategic product leader responsible for defining and scaling product experiences that help customers successfully achieve outcomes across their lifecycle. This role plays a critical part in how Wave enables small business owners to access the right combination of technology, expert guidance, and services to confidently run and grow their business. This role leads a team of Product Managers and partners closely with Product, Engineering, Design, Data, Customer Success, Operations, Marketing, and other business leaders to create seamless experiences that blend technology, human expertise, and service delivery. The ideal candidate brings strong product leadership, business acumen, and customer empathy, with experience navigating complex cross-functional environments and balancing customer needs, business priorities, and technical constraints. This is a player-coach role that requires both strategic thinking and hands-on product leadership, with the ability to adapt to the needs of the business. This leader will drive product vision, execution, and organizational alignment while building highperforming teams and delivering measurable customer and business outcomes. The role requires strong business judgment, technical fluency, and influential leadership, along with the ability to identify and leverage AI capabilities to improve customer experience, product velocity, and quality in ways that align with business priorities and deliver measurable impact. \n
Here’s How You Make an Impact
Define and lead the product vision, strategy, roadmap, OKRs, and success metrics for your product area, ensuring alignment with company objectives, customer needs, and long-term business strategy. Define and evolve product experiences that thoughtfully blend digital capabilities with human-assisted services, ensuring customers have a seamless and consistent experience throughout their journey. Partner with Product and business leaders to identify opportunities where technology, human expertise, and service delivery can drive improved customer outcomes, adoption, retention, and satisfaction. Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Design, Data, Customer Success, Operations, and other business leaders to deliver cohesive customer experiences and drive measurable business outcomes. Develop high-performing teams that utilize continuous product discovery best practices and modern SDLC methodologies, including customer research, experimentation, roadmap management, and iterative delivery, to ensure products meet customer needs and business goals. Translate strategy into execution by helping teams make effective trade-offs, prioritize investments, and deliver against product outcomes. Craft business cases, understand financial impacts, and define and execute business and customer benefit OKRs. Use qualitative and quantitative insights to identify opportunities, measure impact, and drive learning. Inspire, align, and influence across functions, successfully navigating dependencies, ambiguity, and organizational complexity to deliver value for customers and the business. Identify and leverage AI-enabled capabilities and workflows to improve customer experience, product velocity, and quality in ways that align with business priorities and deliver measurable impact. Lead and develop a team of Product Managers, providing coaching, direction, and growth opportunities while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Foster a culture of continuous improvement through retrospectives, learning, coaching, operational excellence, and ongoing refinement of product practices and ways of working.
You Thrive Here By Possessing the Following
Proven experience defining and executing product vision and strategy for complex customer-facing products, services, or platforms. Deep SaaS product management experience across growth-stage and scaled product environments, ideally within financial services, business services, or adjacent industries. Demonstrated ability to partner across Product, Customer Success, Operations, Design, Engineering, and Data teams to deliver cohesive customer experiences and business outcomes. Proven ability to define product strategy, derive requirements, analyze trade-offs, and prioritize investments across multiple teams and stakeholders in a matrixed environment. Strong people leadership experience, including leading Product Managers, developing talent, setting priorities, and building high-performing teams. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders, align cross-functional teams, and drive decision-making in complex environments. Strong business acumen, including experience building business cases, evaluating tradeoffs, and aligning product investments to customer value, company priorities, and financial outcomes. Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data-related field, or a related discipline, or the equivalent through a combination of education and relevant work experience. 8+ years of experience in product management to include leading large mission critical products that involve significant business and technology change, with a minimum of 2+ years leading SaaS product teams at the Group level or above.
