The Department of Computer Science invites applications for a full-time position at the rank of Instructor 1, commencing August 15, 2026, or on a mutually agreed upon date. Exceptional candidates at any level will also be considered. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
The Department seeks an emerging scholar with a commitment to excellence in teaching and pedagogical development. Outstanding candidates with experience in any area of Computer Science will be considered, with particular emphasis on candidates who will complement or extend the Department’s strengths. Preference will be given to those with experience in Computer Systems or Cybersecurity. The successful candidate will hold a Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field at the time of appointment. Preference will be given to those with teaching experience, a Ph.D., or other distinguishing attributes.
Duties may include undergraduate teaching, pedagogical/course development and assessment, and service-related activities. The successful candidate will have a track record of outstanding teaching contributions and the ability to work in a collaborative environment. Preference will be given to those with experience in, or demonstrated potential for, course development.
The Department currently has 26 full-time tenured and tenure-track faculty members and nine instructors. We offer a full range of both undergraduate and graduate programs in Computer Science, including joint CS honours programs with Mathematics, Physics and Astronomy, and Statistics.
