Computershare have a very exciting opportunity for Programmer Analyst to join our Computershare Entity Solutions team in Toronto. Your working hours will be 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday with flexible hours typically between 8.30am to 5pm EST.

A role you will love
As one of our Programmer Analysts you will conceive, design, and develop reusable tools, applications and APIs to facilitate the migration and integration of data into Computershare applications.
You will also be part of the go-to team for data related application support; working as a subject matter expert, you will use your product knowledge to support, troubleshoot and triage internally developed applications, whilst managing the incident lifecycle.
Some other key responsibilities:
- Applying expert knowledge of industry standards, policies, and organizational structure so that you can work both independently and collaboratively with colleagues across wider business functions.
- Proactively evaluating and resolving technical challenges and blockers to minimize their impact on the team’s delivery and/or supported products.
- Performing needs analysis to determine data related to tools that would most benefit Computershare applications.
- Designing and delivering reusable code and tools to migrate data.
- Configuration of API based interfacing with external products to Computershare applications.
- Change control, maintenance, configuration, monitoring and capacity planning of specific application set.
- Evaluating, recommending, and implementing improvements to existing activities. Perform unit testing on code and assist with system and UAT testing.
What will you bring to the role?
As this role is a technical role, you will need to have experience working in a similar environment, ideally as a programmer analyst. You will be working in collaboration with the team and wider department, so having excellent communication skills is key in this role.
Within this role, you will have opportunities to work on various projects, leading on pieces of work, so having excellent organisational skills will be vital to success in the team.
Some other key skills you will have:
- Excellent knowledge and experience in SQL Server 2016 and newer, particularly in writing scripts.
- Experience developing with APIs.
- Programming experience in data related projects.
- Knowledge of C#.
- Experience in Data Migration, Data Modelling, transformation and automation.
- Familiarity with DevOps would be beneficial.
