As an intern at StandardAero, you will gain hands-on industry experience, learn from experts, and collaborate with our teams that raise the standard of excellence. Our Commercial Solutions team responds to bids from prospective customers, and develops pricing, bid strategy, and proposals. We are looking for a driven individual to work within our team to assist with the development and improvement of pricing models. This opportunity will allow a student to develop and showcase their skills in project management, data analysis, problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills.

What you’ll do:

  • Work with Commercial Program and Risk Analysts to help develop and improve financial models used to develop bid pricing
  • Update financial models to reflect market changes
  • Assist Bid Management and Program Management personnel in data collection, program analysis, and risk analysis Recommend process improvements and countermeasures, short term and long term

What skills you’ll need:

  • Between 2nd and 4th year student
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Strong data analysis skills, with knowledge of statistical math and methods Strong planning, organizational, analytical, interpersonal, decision making, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of university or college experience in the field of statistics/data science, engineering/technology, or finance/commerce
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Access and Visual Basic/Visual Basic for Applications
  • Attention to detail
  • Experience working in a team environment, with a strong focus on cost analysis Basic understanding of gas turbine engines is an asset
