About the role

Pay: CA$18.00 - CA$20.00 per hour

Southern Comfort Mechanical Inc. is looking for a reliable delivery driver with knowledge of the City of Winnipeg. This person will be responsible for the safe and on time delivery of various products. They must be highly organized, detail oriented, comfortable driving in downtown Winnipeg, and able to work in all weather conditions.

This position does not involve driving a semi; you would drive a 16ft cube van.

Our head office is located at 671 Discovery Drive in Grande Pointe, MB.

Duties Include

Securely load and unload SCMI's 16ft delivery cube van.

Pick up equipment at various suppliers

Ensure a safe delivery path and carefully place merchandise on job sites Receive materials and prepare loads for the upcoming work day Assisting in the warehouse when needed or when back from deliveries/pickups early

Qualifications

Class 5 Licence with clean abstract. Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs consistently and 100lbs occasionally. Experience driving with a trailer is an asset. Must be able to work alone and in a team environment. Good communication and problem-solving skills. Availability Monday to Friday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm with ocassional overtime as required. Reliable transportation to work, as we are not located directly in Winnipeg; public transportation is not available.

A criminal record check and driver's abstract is a condition of employment and will be required within 14 days of the start date.
