Grade**:** SGEU.03.
The Ministry of Parks, Culture and Sport's mission is to enhance economic growth and support quality of life by managing the provincial parks system and providing recreation, sport, heritage and cultural opportunities for residents and visitors. The Ministry is currently seeking a dynamic and highly motivated individual who is a flexible team player for the position of Park Gate Attendant for Danielson Provincial Park. Reporting to the Supervisor, this position will be involved in frontline work.
As a front-line staff member you will be expected to greet and provide information to park visitors; collect and process all park fees; operate a Windows based computer; and handle telephone inquiries, general office and light cleaning duties. The candidate must possess a current valid driver's license. The candidate must be available to work on evenings and weekends.
The candidate will have knowledge of basic computer skills and cash handling.
The successful candidate will have the experience and ability to respond accurately and courteously to inquiries; calm upset customers and respond to their concerns or complaints; operate office equipment such as computers, printers, fax machines, answering machines and interac cash systems; and prepare daily deposits. You will be reliable and trustworthy, with the ability to work alone.
