Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including trucks and vans, to transport goods to designated locations
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary
- Ensure accurate delivery of products, verifying orders against delivery manifests
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the vehicle and delivery area
- Assist with inventory management and proper documentation of deliveries
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting if required during transit or at the delivery site
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during transportation duties
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to coordinate delivery schedules
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver?s license (CDL) preferred or required based on vehicle type
- Experience operating forklifts, heavy equipment, or freight handling equipment is a plus
- Knowledge of automotive repair or troubleshooting skills is advantageous
- Prior experience in commercial driving or logistics is preferred
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate deliveries and documentation
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing schedules
