Pinchin is seeking a Senior Regional Insurance Service Leader to join our Insurance Service Team in Prairies/Western Canada. This new role reports to the Vice President.
Role Overview:
In this hybrid role, you will be responsible for leading and growing Pinchin’s regional Insurance portfolio. This position focuses on achieving regional Insurance Net Revenue targets as established under Pinchin’s Growth Plan, while ensuring consistent delivery quality, technical excellence, and client satisfaction. The role provides leadership in either Hygiene (asbestos, mould, flood, fire, water damage) or Environmental Due Diligence & Remediation (spills, soil cleanup, remediation) services.
Your Impact
- Financial Leadership: Develop and execute strategies to meet or exceed regional Insurance Net Revenue targets. Monitor project pipelines, utilization, and forecasting within the region.
- Business Development and Client Leadership: Lead business development initiatives targeting insurers, adjusters, restoration firms, and brokers. Strengthen and maintain relationships with key Insurance and restoration partners.
- Project Leadership: Ensure consistency in project delivery, documentation, and reporting across service lines.
- Operational Management: Support and align emergency response procedures and resources mobilization. Ensuring proper staffing coverage for the on-call program, while providing oversight of field response and reporting quality.
- Team Collaboration: Work alongside Regional EVPs and Directors to integrate Insurance workflows with core service delivery.
- People Leadership: Mentor staff to strengthen technical skills and client responsiveness. Support recruitment activities and professional development of regional team members.
- Sense of Urgency and Client Commitment: Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and commitment to assisting clients when emergencies occur. Maintain flexibility and responsiveness, as Insurance losses can happen at any time. Working closely with the Vice President, National Insurance Services and the Regional Insurance Service Hygiene Leader(s), coordinate and manage the emergency response program, while contributing to the development of a formal on-call and emergency response compensation structure.
What You’ll Bring to Pinchin
- Education & Credentials: Degree or diploma in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field. Professional designations (P. Eng, P. Geo, EIT/GIT, CET/AScT, CIH/ROH, CRSP/CRST, EP) are assets.
- Experience: Minimum of 12-15 years experience working with Insurance companies, restoration contractors, or adjusters, with a proven record of business development and client relationship management within the Insurance and restoration sector.
- Technical Knowledge: Demonstrate effective technical experience and understanding with the field of specialization (i.e., environmental engineering/geoscience (EDR like), spill response, contaminant remediation and litigation support.
- Client Service & Communication: Strong written and verbal skills; able to deliver clear reports and reassure clients during stressful situations. Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset.
- Leadership & Teamwork: Experience mentoring staff at all levels and collaborating across disciplines to deliver complex Insurance projects.
- Adaptability & Resilience: Comfortable in fast-paced, unpredictable environments; willing to travel and respond to urgent situations outside normal hours.
- Safety Focus: Committed to health and safety best practices, with relevant training and diligence in hazard assessments and PPE.
- Business Acumen: Understanding of Insurance processes and financial targets, with a focus on service quality and profitability.
