Role Description The Quality Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Watford, ON. The Quality Engineer will monitor and improve product and process quality through data analysis, root cause investigations, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions. This role involves developing and maintaining quality standards, procedures, and documentation, as well as supporting audits, inspections, and compliance with automotive quality requirements. The Quality Engineer will collaborate closely with production, engineering, and customer teams to resolve quality issues, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure consistent product performance. Daily activities also include preparing quality reports, participating in cross-functional meetings, and supporting new product launches with robust quality planning.
Qualifications
Demonstrated skills in Quality Engineering and Product Quality to support design, production, and ongoing improvement. Experience with Quality Control practices, including inspections, testing, measurement systems, and data-driven decision-making. Proficiency in Quality Assurance, including process audits, documentation control, and compliance with industry standards (e.g., IATF 16949, ISO 9001). Capabilities in Quality Management, including developing procedures, managing nonconformities, and driving corrective and preventive actions. Relevant post-secondary education in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical field. Experience in automotive manufacturing or a similar high-volume, regulated environment is an asset. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with familiarity with tools such as root cause analysis, FMEA, and control plans. Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work on-site in cross-functional teams and interact with customers and suppliers.
