Position Description
The SickKids Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) offers tertiary and quaternary medical and surgical care for newborns up to four weeks old. Admitting patients from the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), across Canada, and globally, our NICU cares for the most complex and fragile neonates in the province. Our vision and mission focus on exceptional care, collaborative partnerships, and cultivating excellence.

- Develop and implement a nursing plan of care
- Work in collaboration with the child/family and the interdisciplinary health care team
- Maintain clinical competence and knowledge base through continued education and life-long learning

Here's What You'll Need
Essential Requirements
- Graduate of an approved Baccalaureate Nursing Program (BScN).
- Current registration as an RN with the College of Nurses of Ontario (General Class License) in good standing.
- Possess 1 + years of clinical nursing experience in an RN capacity.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to use your critical thinking, problem-solving and teamwork abilities
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the principles of equity, diversity and inclusivity
- Candidates with less than 1 year of clinical RN experience are encouraged to apply to our New Graduate Nurse job opening.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous employment, clinical placement, and/or externship experience in a Neonatal Intensive Care unit**.**
- Level 2 or Level 3 NICU experience is a very strong asset.
