We are seeking an experienced Controller to lead our financial operations and serve as a strategic business partner to senior leadership.
How will you contribute to the team?
The Controller will be responsible for leading financial reporting, accounting operations, and internal controls while supporting strategic decision-making across the business. This role oversees day-to-day accounting activities, ensures timely and accurate financial reporting, and partners with cross-functional teams to drive project profitability, operational efficiency, and scalable growth.
Reporting directly to the President, the Controller will lead and mentor the accounting team and play a key role in strengthening financial processes, systems, and insights.
Specific accountabilities include:
Financial Reporting & Compliance

Prepare and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards

Ensure timely month-end and year-end close, including reconciliations, accruals, and variance analysis

Provide accurate and timely financial reporting to the parent company

Lead external and internal audits, including preparation and coordination with auditors

Ensure compliance with tax filings, statutory reporting, and regulatory requirements
Accounting Operations & Controls
- Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll accounting, and fixed assets
- Establish, document, and maintain effective accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team, fostering continuous improvement and accountability
Project & Revenue Accounting
- Oversee revenue recognition for technology solutions, software subscriptions, and project-based contracts
- Track project costs, margins, and work-in-progress to ensure accurate profitability reporting
- Partner with operations and project teams to strengthen cost controls and forecasting accuracy
Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Analysis
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting cycle
- Analyze financial performance and trends, delivering clear management reports and insights
- Support pricing models, investment evaluations, and business cases for new technologies and services
Systems, Process & Strategic Support

Optimize financial systems and tools, including ERP, project management, billing, and reporting platforms

Act as a trusted financial partner to leadership, R&D, operations, sales, and marketing teams

Support funding initiatives, banking relationships, and cash flow management

Assist with proposal, tender, and project budget preparation

Oversee financial aspects of subcontractors, suppliers, and third-party contractors
Education & Skill Requirements:

CPA designation required
-
7–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience as a Controller or senior accounting leader

Background in technology, engineering, infrastructure, or project-based environments
-
Strong expertise in revenue recognition, project accounting, and cost tracking
-
Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools
-
Proven leadership experience with a track record of developing high-performing teams
-
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
-
High attention to detail with a practical, business-oriented mindset
-
Ability to clearly communicate financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
-
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
-
Collaborative, hands-on, and solutions-focused approach
Salary Range:
Salary range between $110K-150K, depending on experience
