Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk to join our Finance team. The A/P Clerk will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, data entry, and supporting the overall financial operations of the organization.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a high level of interest in working with the YMCA HBB as a charitable organization.
What You’ll Do:

Accurately enter invoices into the accounting system.

Review and code invoices to appropriate accounts and cost centres.

Submit invoices for approval through established workflows.

Import and post approved invoices into the accounting system.

Match invoices with purchase orders, contracts, or supporting documentation as required.

Maintain organized records of vendor files and invoice approvals.

Respond to inquiries from vendors and internal staff regarding invoice status or payments.

Assist with month-end and year-end processes as required.

Support the Finance team with other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Bring:

Certificate or diploma in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance (or equivalent education/experience).

Accounting background with knowledge of accounts payable processes required.
-
Previous experience in accounts payable, finance, or data entry preferred.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
-
Good organizational and time-management skills.
-
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-
Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
A Major Asset If
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Emphasis on Excel and Outlook) and familiarity with accounting systems an asset.
