We are seeking a highly skilled and self-driven professional to join our team as a ETL Tester. This hybrid role is ideal for someone with strong SQL and Python capabilities, a keen eye for data integrity, and a passion for automation. You will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy of large datasets, validating ETL processes, and contributing to automation initiatives across projects.

This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our downtown Toronto (250 Yonge St, Toronto) and/or Client office at a minimum 2 days per week - subject to change at any time.

Your future duties and responsibilities

• Build and optimize complex SQL queries to extract and validate large datasets.
• Perform data quality checks and identify anomalies across multiple sources.
• Test and validate ETL transformation logic against business requirements.
• Develop Python scripts to automate data validation and transformation tasks.
• Maintain and enhance automation frameworks and tools.
• Work independently to manage deliverables and troubleshoot issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data and automation initiatives.
• Document processes, test cases, and results for continuous improvement.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

• Proven experience in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries.

• Strong background in validating large volumes of data across systems.

• Hands-on expertise in testing ETL transformation logic.

• Ability to demonstrate understanding and application of Python frameworks.

• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and contribute to automation initiatives.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Azure cloud platforms.

• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control (e.g., Git).
