Collins Aerospace is seeking a dynamic Manager, Commodity and Sourcing Management , to be responsible for implementing and leading commodity sourcing strategies for the assigned suppliers and projects. These responsibilities include quotations, bid analysis, supplier recommendations, awards, execution of new or extension of existing supplier contracts, supplier development, risk mitigation, and cost reduction in support of Landing Systems objectives for the Machining Commodity. This is an individual contribution role without having any direct report.

This Position is Onsite role at Oakville, ON, Canada. What You Will Do

  • Responsible for the development and execution of commodity and supplier development strategies for direct product that supports the strategic objectives of the Business Unit, aligns across Collins Machining commodity and Company.
  • Conduct RFQs, perform comprehensive bid analysis, provide recommendations and lead the execution of the quoting strategy.
  • Develop and lead execution of multiple supplier’s contract strategy including price and legal terms and conditions negotiations.
  • Execute monthly and quarterly part, project, supplier level cost analysis to understand savings and headwinds trend and conduct strategic recommendations to improve overall product cost structure.
  • Support multiple buy to buy, buy to make, and make to buy projects by leading and executing complete sourcing and business case approval as per the Work Transfer process.
  • Understand basic military sourcing FAR12 and FAR15 requirements to prepare single source or competitive bid strategy, analyze, negotiate and create comprehensive justification packages.
  • Work with Operational Procurement, Engineering and Program Management to ensure the successful introduction of new programs and successful transfer of production requirements to suppliers.
  • Organize efforts regarding supplier performance improvements and act as relationship manager with suppliers.
  • Support the development or extension of new suppliers of broad-based commodity.
  • Drive special projects with suppliers and cross-functional teams across the organization.
  • Administer timely reporting, analysis, MRP updates for the assigned suppliers and projects
  • Advocate for the change management, provide feedback and drive implementation of process changes as required.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree and a minimum of 8 years in Supply Chain/ Sourcing/ Commodity Management or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.
  • Experience in contracts and price negotiation.
  • Experience providing data analysis, creating and presenting using MS software (MS Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience working in ERP systems.
  • Successful candidate must meet all requirements under ITAR and CGD and be eligible to work.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Creative thinking, ability to multitask, reacts with a sense of urgency and aptitude to work independently with little oversight.
  • SAP Experience.
  • Aerospace/Automotive experience.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and present to suppliers or senior leadership.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities without impacting on the quality of work produced.
  • Demonstrated time management, team building, leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated success in developing project plans and managing these projects through successful execution, including overcoming obstacles and resolving issues on their own.
  • Ability to interpret 2D drawings with technical or manufacturing aptitude.
