About the role

About The Role

Our client centered Marketing Team is the face of the firm and this role supports and reports to the Business Development + Marketing Manager. You are a self-starter that is able to prioritize, multi-task and get things done. You love events and all things Social and bring your energy, creativity and design eye to the table to collaborate with the team to keep the MT+Co. brand strong. This is a generalist role that supports everything from the MT+Co. website, social media, marketing + PR, as well as firm events.

While the firm is generally supportive of hybrid remote work, in-office needs come up that will require you to attend the office 2-3 times per week. Because of the nature and timing of events, you will be required to work evenings and weekends occasionally to host firm sponsored events (overtime will be paid in accordance to Employment Standards).

Experience

Ideally you are a post-secondary graduate in Marketing and/or Business Development degree/diploma/certificate with a minimum of 3 years of experience working in a professional services environment. Experience in social media management, developing proposals (RFPs), and event planning are required in this role. Advanced knowledge working within a Microsoft 365 environment will be an asset

A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role is CAD$70,000 to $85,000 at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as market rates, job-related skills, relevant experience, and education and/or training.

Please note that the range reflects the base pay only and does not include our competitive bonus program, 100% employer paid benefits and various other perks offered by the firm.

General Duties

Duties

While our firm is constantly evolving (and flexibility is key), as of right now the duties of this role generally include:

Assist with development and delivery of all digital and print advertising, social media, PR, rankings, and client events across MT+Co. Support and execute on marketing and business development strategies, plans, and tactics, as directed by Business Development + Marketing Manager . Track performance of social media, marketing, and business development initiatives and produces reports.

Website + Social Media:

Work with web development team to manage website maintenance, website content changes and updates, and social media channels. Develop social media content plan based on firm events and marketing plans and manage all firm social media channels. Assist with strategic community partnership features and client success stories. Coordinate photoshoots for new hires and when new photo assets are required. Draft staff and lawyer bios for website and for advertising.

Marketing + PR:

Assist the BD + Marketing Manager to organize and execute marketing campaigns, events, and promotional activities for the firm. Conduct market research and provide summaries to the BD + Marketing Manager Facilitate local advertising and promotions Develop and produce content and marketing material for business development initiatives including seminars, conferences, and other opportunities. Provide recommendations for community involvement and sponsorships that support the strategic goals and elevate the brand of MT+Co. Manage the inventory of promotional items and swag by coordinating the orders, restocking and fresh items for internal and external use. Coordinate and execute end-of-year holiday initiatives including client gifting and communications

RFPs / Proposals / Rankings

Assist BD + Marketing Manager with preparation and coordination of informal and formal pitches and proposals Assist BD + Marketing Manager with soliciting, compiling, and submitting significant matters for expertise database and ranking agencies in consultation with and by approval from the appropriate team members. (Lexpert, Chambers, Benchmark, Best Lawyers, Who’s Who Legal...) Update firm and lawyer information on ranked directories.

Events, conferences + sponsorships:

Coordinate kick-off meetings with key stakeholders to determine event goals, concept and budget. Ensure clear and consistent communication and deadlines are maintained with relevant parties throughout the event planning process by developing event critical path and coordinating all aspects of the event. Work with other firm departments including Ops (Facilities, IT, and Reception) to ensure seamless delivery of events Scout and coordinate with venues and vendors. Maintain lists of preferred/recommended venues and vendors and manage relationships with those organizations. Manage external and internal event promotion, communication and post-event feedback, including. Attend events as the on-site coordinator/representative to ensure all event details are managed seamlessly.
