About the role
Northern Gateway Public Schools invites applications for a Two Full-time (1.0 FTE) Education Assistants at Hilltop High School, Whitecourt, Alberta.
Successful Candidate Responsibilities
- Working with students one-on-one & in groups in Junior and Senior High classrooms
Preference Will Be Given To Candidates Who
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with children, parents and staff
- Work collaboratively and co-operatively with teachers and other educational assistants in the classroom/school
- Understand and carry out oral and written direction
- Work independently with minimal instruction
- Demonstrate effective organizational and communication skills
- Respect confidentiality
- Practice professionalism with all HTH students, staff, administration, parents and public
- Are aware of NGPS policies and administrative procedures
- Have an understanding of the teaching/learning process
- Have strong interpersonal skills and patience
- Enjoys working in a team environment
- A Teaching Assistant Certificate would be an asset
Start Date
- As soon as a suitable candidate is found
Hours
- 6.5 hours a day, 5 days a week
