Territory Maintenance Manager

We are seeking a Territory Maintenance Manager to support the East Territory which spans across eastern Saskatchewan and Manitoba. This position will oversee the comprehensive maintenance of fixed and mobile grain assets within an assigned territory. This role encompasses staffing management, development and evaluation of maintenance programs, strategic planning, project oversight, corporate asset maintenance, and providing technical support to ensure operational excellence.

What you’ll do

  • Shape and execute maintenance strategies that align with divisional goals.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance by partnering with local, provincial, and federal bodies.
  • Manage operating and capital budgets with precision and foresight.
  • Collaborate on capital projects and facility upgrades.
  • Champion health and safety initiatives to foster a proactive safety culture.
  • Oversee quality assurance to meet regulatory standards and exceed customer expectations.
  • Lead HR functions including recruitment, development, and performance management.
  • Support apprenticeship programs and build relationships with technical institutions.
  • Guide contractor negotiations and evaluate service performance.
  • Coordinate planned maintenance shutdowns with cross-functional teams.

What you bring to our team

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in agri-business facility maintenance or construction, including bulk material handling systems, with 5+ years in a supervisory role or equivalent.
  • Proven expertise in facility construction and maintenance methods, practices, and standards.
  • Grade 12 education, supplemented by journeyperson status in an industrial trade. A degree or diploma in Agriculture, Business Administration, or Commerce is considered an asset.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret building plans and specifications.
  • Proficiency in planning and scheduling.
  • Experienced in developing and managing contracts with external service providers.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly, including managing regional maintenance functions remotely (estimated 6–10 nights per month).
  • Proficient in computer applications, including spreadsheets, databases, and word processing tools.
