Thales is seeking a skilled Patch Management Specialist to join our team. This role will work alongside a dedicated team in support of a defence project, responsible for the development, testing, and deployment of security patches and software updates across the enterprise environment, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory security requirements.
Key Areas of Responsibility Key Tasks:
Patch Lifecycle Management
- Develop, package, and test security patches, updates, and hotfixes using SCCM.
- Deploy patches across servers, workstations, and mobile systems with minimal disruption.
- Monitor and remediate patch deployment failures, ensuring coverage and compliance.
Security & Compliance
- Work closely with the Cybersecurity team to address security gaps within the environment.
- Align patch management processes with CIS, NIST, ISO 27001 and other regulatory requirements.
- Provide regular reports on patch status, compliance metrics and exceptions.
Collaboration & Process Improvement
- Partner with IT Infrastructure, Application, and Security teams to coordinate patch scheduling and validate business impact.
- Maintain patch testing processes in development/staging environments prior to production rollout.
- Automate and improve patch management workflows, including integration with vulnerability scanning tools.
Minimum Qualifications Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of and demonstratable experience with Microsoft SCCM or Microsoft Intune
- Knowledge of and demonstratable experience in patch management for Microsoft Office, Windows OS as well as Windows Server.
- Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for patch management automation.
- 3-5 years experience in IT operations, endpoint management, or security patch management.
- Experience in enterprise environments with 1,000+ endpoints preferred.
- Experience working with and building MSI packages, InstallShield bundles, or using Nullsoft Scriptable Install System (NSIS
- Able to collaborate in a dynamic matrix organizational environment.
- Self-driven, able to function independently with appropriate direction.
- Ability to screen for a Government of Canada security clearance.

Thales is seeking a skilled Patch Management Specialist to join our team.
