Summary:
As a Business Development Manager, you will drive growth by identifying and securing opportunities in public safety, defense, and enterprise markets for robots and drones. You will build strong client and partner relationships, manage the full sales cycle, and deliver proposals and presentations. The role also involves conducting market research, tracking performance metrics in Hubspot/Shopify, and collaborating with internal teams to align business development with company objectives.
What You'll Do:
- Develop and implement strategies to identify and secure new business opportunities in public safety and military markets for robots and drones. Identify and develop new business opportunities in mobile robot and drone products/accessories and integrated solutions.
- Build, maintain, and strengthen long-term relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders. Build and maintain strong relationships with government, defense, enterprise, and public safety clients as well as supply partners, and other stakeholders (shareholders, regulators,etc).
- Collaborate with marketing, engineering, and operations teams to align business development initiatives with company objectives.
- Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation to closing deals.
- Track, analyze, and report on business development performance metrics and progress against sales targets. Maintain accurate records of opportunities, pipeline, and forecasts using Hubspot CRM and Shopify systems.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify industry trends, customer needs, and potential areas for growth.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and negotiations to prospective clients. Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to expand the company’s reach.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (MBA is an asset).
- 0.5–2+ years of proven success in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in robotics, mechatronics, computer science.
- Strong understanding of public safety, military and government markets and B2B sales.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage long sales cycles and build strong client relationships across international markets.
- Experience working with government, defense, or enterprise clients is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working both independently and within a team.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
