POSITION OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Assistant Vice President Infrastructure Services, the Delivery Lead will be responsible for the evolution and sustainment of an optimal delivery management of all IT components of audio-visual events produced at BDC. The Delivery lead, Events, Logistics & Communication is a strategic and operational leader responsible for driving the planning, execution, and communication of IT initiatives across the organization. This role ensures the successful delivery of events from a technology perspective, manages communications for technology deployments to support the operations and corporate functions.
Providing leadership and guidance to the teams, the incumbent will facilitate the deliveries coordinating with all teams involved. The incumbent will be responsible for the proper setup, delivery, maintenance, support, and incident management, in collaboration with IT operational groups. The incumbent will be also responsible for building and evolving performant and autonomous teams in collaboration with functional managers of teams’ members in a matrix environment, ensuring they have the right skills to meet the organization needs.

CHALLENGES TO BE MET
- Is accountable for all IT services required in the delivery of Audio Visual experience; facilitates the delivery of events, the management & teams’ dependencies.
- Is responsible for improving and implementing the mechanisms and tools to better provide IT audio visual services.
- Facilitate the incidents resolution and problems management requiring the team's involvement in accordance with the agreed service levels, while escalating critical incidents if required.
- Works to optimize and simplify the processes surrounding the management of the audio visual events, including the identification of bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement.
- Provides visibility on budgets, costs, capacity, risks and issues as it pertains to audio visual events, in order to establish consistent ways of working.
- Assists and facilitates team/event estimates.
- Works jointly with functional managers to ensure that team composition aligns with needs, including identification of proficiency, expertise, resource gaps, recruiting, training.
- Establishes strong relationships with the Information Technology Management teams and key Business and Functional partners.
- Support the organization’s technological practices and associated processes within the teams.
- Works upstream with architects (Enterprise and Solutions) to define the technological roadmap of their products.
- Fosters servant leadership, increasing the autonomy and empowerment of teams and by eliminating obstacles not handled by the teams. Cultivates an atmosphere of stability, productivity, and trust.
- Manages teams’ performance, development and engagement, building a culture that supports learning, collaboration, transparency and inclusiveness.
- Collaborates with functional managers and other matrix leaders regarding individual performance management and career development of the team members, ensuring alignment with the teams' objectives.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- At least 10 years of experience leading in a matrix environment, influencing and building strong relationships.
- Expertise in event logistics
- Proficiency in multiple IT domains including telecommunication, audio visual and end user computing.
- Bachelor's degree in IT or in a relevant discipline.
- Strong talent management skills include a high degree of emotional intelligence, talent development, coaching, mentoring, and teams’ motivation.
- Passion for and demonstrated success in building new products, capabilities, solutions, and teams.
- Experience in management
- Strong proven experience and problem-solving skills while maintaining a view of the ‘big picture’ and the strategic organizational goals.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to perform under pressure and managing multiple priorities with competing demands for teams.
- Strong business acumen and ability to understand and drive business objectives.
